So, when it comes to running, eating right, and losing weight, I fell off the wagon awhile back. Basically gained almost all of my weight back. A friend from work and I are going to get back on track though. Starting Sunday night we will weigh in once a week and work out in cardiac rehab on break every night that we work. Eating habits, getting back to running, and other exercise is up to me. Anyone have ideas for sticking to it??? All the boating we have done this summer really makes me want to be bikini worthy by next summer.
The kids are doing pretty good in school. Alex's teacher loves him to death. Says he is so funny and likable, but he can throw a mean, long lasting tantrum when things don't go his way. Luckily she's been able to deal with it so far. Max on the other hand, has not had any meltdowns, but he does complain about being bored, thinking the homework is stupid and too easy and he talks too much. Most days his teacher said it's obvious he is trying to hard to behave, but sometimes he just cannot seem to control his mouth. Hmmm, wonder where he got that from?? Haha!
Max informed us the other night that he was interested in joining cub scouts. I thought it was a great idea to get him to socialize more with kids outside of school. There is a meeting tonight where they go over all the details for the parents, and let the kids know a little more about whats involved. We are all going to check it out. Who knows, we may have our own little cub scout soon.
Don't have much else going on right now. I'm hoping to once again be better about updating in here. Definitely check out the picture website. There are tons of video and pictures from our adventures this summer!
Til next time, don't do anything I wouldn't do ;)

Just call me the slacker
But in my defense, we have been really busy. I talked Tim into buying a boat. I know, right. Who would've thought we would ever get a boat. We love it though. Out 4 times in the first week. The kids love it too! Dave and Cindy and Ali go with us on their boat, and let me tell you, we have a blast! Tim and I are naturals at getting it in the water and out. Well, we aren't perfect or anything, but we haven't killed each other working together either. There are tons of pictures on Dropshots so go check them out.
This weekend we went camping up in Sterling MI at a canoe livery. Hung out with my cousins, brother Bill and some friends. The kids had a blast and I'm pretty sure the adults did too. The river was awesome for tubing and Tim and I camped the whole weekend, with kids, and no camper! It was great!!! Now we can go camping next summer and take the boat, without having to wonder if we can handle it. We CAN!
Thats about all that is new for now. The boys start school on August 18th, so we've been getting ready for that too. I can't believe my "baby" is going into the first grade, and Alex will be in preschool. I pray every night that he doesn't get kicked out. Not sure how the religious family will take him ;)
I'll try to get around again soon. I can at least post a few pictures for you. For right now I need to hit the couch with my hubby though! Yesterday was our two year anniversary. Woohoo!
Talk to you soon!

Day 2 complete
Running that is. Still only 3 minutes out of 19, but it was easier today! I have one more day at this pace and then next week we'll step it up a little. I can't wait. My new running shoes are more comfortable, but my Achilles area still hurts while running. Will that go away? I'm thinking it will.
I have to work the horrible shift tonight. 11pm to 11am. YUCK!!! I'm hoping they'll let me go in the morning, but I won't hold my breath. It looks like people had to stay over this morning.
I'm off to nap now. Boys are fighting instead of picking up so I guess I should motivate them too!

Back again!
And I'm finally uploading pictures from our second night of partying. Mostly they are the same, but there is one cute one of Alex that I had to share.
Alli and Cindy chillin out waiting for the show to start
And everyone's new favorite thing to do this year
You light a little cardboard square and let it sail. It's like a mini hot air balloon. Not only did we send at least 4 of them on their way, but we also found two the next morning in the woods from other people sending them up.
And for those of you that knew about my tattoo, I got a few pictures of it finally completed. The flowers represent the birthmonth of the 4 of us and the thing in the middle is just to cover up an old icky tattoo. I love how it turned out, but I love even more that it means something.
I guess that's all I've got from last weekend. I did get myself to the mall today and bought some running shoes. I'm wearing them around the house to hopefully decide if they are comfy before I take them outside to run in them. So far, me likey! Time to get my kiddos fed so I can put them to bed, but I'll keep you updated on my adventures!!

Nothing like making you wait
Sorry it took me so long to get back. In order to party for 4 days straight last weekend, I had to work 5 days in a row. Needless to say, my free time was spent sleeping or with the kiddos. It was a great weekend though. Lots of good food, great friends, and awesome fireworks thanks to Tim and Dave!! I have a boatload of pictures and no clue which ones to share, but here are a few of my favorites...

Crashed out after a very long day!
I think I have more from the following night, and I know Cindy's BIL got some pictures too, but this is what I've got on the computer so far. You can also check out dropshots to see the rest.
The only other new news I've got is that I'm going to try to start running. I found a program called couch to 5K where you learn to run 3.1 miles over 9 weeks. It builds you up to it unlike pushing yourself too hard which is what most people do. I downloaded a podcast for my ipod that lets me listen to my own music, but has voice over that tells me when to jog and when to walk. I did my first 20 minute session tonight and it went well. I'm actually starting with 4 weeks to 1 mile. Figured if I start easy and hate it, I'm not losing so much. Plus, the lower I start, the more likely I am to finish before giving up because it's too hard.
I am supposed to be running a day and resting a day so you'll probably get to hear a lot about that. I am hoping that talking about it will hold me accountable. My goal is over 30lbs away, but I am sure I can get there if I just stay motivated!!

Is it tomorrow yet??
Tomorrow is our annual 4th of July party with Dave, Cindy, Alli, and everyone else. I am so excited I wish it was here now. Tim is making ribs, everyone is bringing a dish to pass there will be a bonfire and tons of fireworks. If there is one thing I LOVE about living in Indiana, it's the loose fireworks laws around the 4th. My favorite holiday of the year since it's also almost my birthday.
Went shopping today and picked up stuff to make sweet and sour meatballs, as well as layered red/white/blue jello which I plan on cutting into star shapes. I also just ordered some star ice cube trays from Amazon that should be here in the morning so I can make some blue juice star ice to go in our red punch. I wonder if Cindy has tableware and stuff like that?? Guess I need to get over there and talk with her this evening.
Stay tuned and watch for pictures. Hopefully it won't take me a week, but I'm sure there will be tons to show off!! And good stories to tell!

Dang, I got a little behind
But in my defense, there has been alot going on. First camping, then 5 days of work. Then Tim out of town, then me working a bunch again. In between somewhere I ended up with the stomach bug and was sick for two days! It was awful. But I'm back and I have much to catch up on.
Camping was a blast! The boys had a good time and so did Tim and I. Even though it was overcast, the last day I was there, the boys all decided to go tubing on Papa's boat. I have some great pictures and video of that. Tim got two new fishing poles and was trying to teach the boys to fish. A fishing derby the next night with the campground proved they still have a lot to learn. Alex just wants to touch the fish. Max thinks he can catch one with his hands. My boys are nuts!!
Around home, it took me awhile, but the camping stuff is put away and the laundry is caught up. I honestly wasn't sure that would ever happen. I was up to my eyeballs in dirty clothes, towels, and sheets. Luckily my mom was here for a night to watch the boys while I worked and she helped a ton. Plus, she got to do her laundry too ;)
Tim was in DC for almost 4 days. He had a training thing in the new test kitchen at Marriott Corporate. He said it went well. I think he probably enjoyed partying with Charlie and Ash a whole lot more. I'm glad he gets to see his friends, but dang do I miss mine!! I haven't been back since we've moved to South Bend.
I swear, everyday that goes by Alex gets smarter and smarter. That boys enunciates his words like an adult, although there are still a few sounds he can't say correctly yet. Max is getting very argumentative which is annoying most days. Sometimes I just think it's humorous because he really does have the knowledge to keep up with an adult.
So, without further ado, here are a few pictures of the boys to bring and end to my day.
